Quick Start - Shortcuts to Standards

Shortcuts are links that you make to documents that you use for your projects. They provide a quick way to open a frequently used document without having to use Search or Libraries every time.

Using Collections

Collections allow you to associate several documents that you would use together for a specific work project, assignment or topic, so you can refer to those documents collectively at any time. Collections are shortcuts to documents that you create and manage as you need to.

Viewing a collection's documents
  • In the left navigation panel, click the arrow to the right of Collections.  This displays the list of collections you have defined.  Click on a collection to view its list of documents

Collection management
  • In the left navigation panel, click the word Collections and this will display the Collections tab.  On the tab you can manage existing collections or create new collections.

Assigning documents
  • In the left navigation panel, click the word Collections and this will display the Collections tab.  On the Collections tab you can assign documents to existing collections by selecting a collection, then clicking on Add Documents.

  • You can also assign/unassign a document to/from a collection by clicking on the Collections icon on Search results, within a Library, or on the document's viewer left menu

Using Favorites

Favorites are documents you access frequently via a quickly accessible list. Clicking on favorite document will open it and go to page 1.  Favorites are shortcuts to documents that you assign and unassign as you need to.

Assigning documents
  • You can also assign/unassign a document as a favorite by clicking on the Favorite icon (a star) on Search results, within a Library, or on the document's viewer toolbar.

  • Click on any defined favorite to open the document to page 1.

  • Click Bookmark Current Page, enter a bookmark title, click OK
